| DAY ONE – Wednesday, March 31, 2010 | |
| 8:00 a.m. | Registration & Networking Breakfast |
| 8:45 a.m. | Welcome and Opening Remarks from Forum Chairman
|
| 9:00 a.m. | Opening Keynote Achieving a Secure Enterprise with Protected and Resilient Information Flow Enterprises today are facing a wide variety of cyber threats from external and internal sources. The requirements for ensuring secure and resilient information flows throughout corporate networks, critical infrastructure, government operations, and many other types of organizations have never been more difficult. Dr. Brammer will discuss some of the best practices that Northrop Grumman has developed for both customer and internal operations, as well as some new research designed to address future challenges. |
| 9:45 a.m. | Global Alliances Panel In a time of global partnerships and enterprises, it is critical to develop standards for protection of information processes and collaboration across international borders.
|
| 10:45 a.m. | Networking Coffee Break sponsored by Raytheon |
| 11:00 a.m. | Decision-Making in an Ever-Changing Cyber Environment In spring 2007, Estonia was hit with a flurry of cyber attacks that took down government websites as well as those of the financial, business and media sectors. Lauri Almann, who was a part of the team that organized the response to the attacks against Estonia, will share how they overcame these challenges and outcomes, establishing that decisions have to not only be made in milliseconds, but need to be made within the framework of national alliances, government organizations and the political, intelligence and procurement process. |
| 11:45 a.m. | Public-Private Collaborations Panel This panel will explore strategies for trusted public/private partnerships that can result in mutually beneficial information sharing mechanisms and the implementation of programs to reinforce that partnership.
|
| 12:30 p.m. | Networking Luncheon sponsored by Northrop Grumman |
| 2:00 p.m. | Cybersecurity Standards, Guidelines, and Risk Management Updates With cyber security as one of the top priorities of the President, the federal government has initiated a significant overhaul of its information security standards, guidance, and risk management activities. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in partnership with the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community, is developing a unified information security and risk management framework for federal agencies and their support contractors including those organizations in the A&D industries. Many state and local governments as well as private sector entities are adopting the security standards and guidelines on a voluntary basis. Applying information security best practices and effectively managing risk associated with the operation and use of information systems will help ensure that the operations, assets, and individuals within the United States critical infrastructure are well protected against an increasingly sophisticated and dangerous set of cyber threats. |
| 2:45 p.m. | Secure Collaboration Implementation within EADS By setting up a cross-certified corporate infrastructure, compliant with both US and European governmental requirements, hear how EADS achieved a significant step towards the Cybersecurity approach to address Intellectual Property protection and Advanced Persistent Threat challenges. Working with international programs, such as TSCP, and various partners, EADS has been integral in the key strategic orientation and creation of a European digital hub for Product Lifecycle Management, Collaboration and Supply Chain Management. |
| 3:30 p.m. | Networking Refreshment Break sponsored by Raytheon |
| 3:45 p.m. | Empowering Change Management for Human Operability/Awareness Employee buy-in is critical to ensuring the security of your enterprise. It has to be more than just changing the culture, but having everyone who has access embrace your initiatives towards protected networks, and trained and equipped properly. |
| 4:30 p.m. | Closing Keynote Panel Interoperability vs. Cybersecurity (Panel) Interoperability creates the opportunity for diverse systems and organizations to work together. However, merging varied networks with different operating standards increases vulnerabilities exponentially. Where does it come together? How do you make it fit? |
| 5:30 p.m. | Close of Day One & Networking Reception sponsored by Boeing |
| DAY TWO – Thursday, April 1, 2010 | |
| 8:00 a.m. | Networking Breakfast |
| 8:30 a.m. | Day Two Opening Remarks from the Forum Chairman
|
| 8:45 a.m. | Day Two Opening Keynote Changing the Game: A Cyber Strategy for All of Us With the speed and creativity of cyber attacks today, protecting company infrastructure means extending traditional "defense in-depth" strategies to also include a focus on detection and disruption of hackers’ command and control channels. This approach is particularly effective at thwarting the cyber threat when organizations collaborate and share information in real time. |
| 9:30 a.m. | Enablers for a Secure Enterprise Technology can be significantly leveraged for real-time information flow, as well as assisting in securing and managing your network. Virgil Gligor of Carnegie Mellon’s CyLab will explore past technologies, and future emerging enablers that will need to be considered for a protected enterprise. |
| 10:15 a.m. | Networking Coffee Break sponsored by Raytheon |
| 10:30 a.m. | Closing Keynote & Discussion Trustworthy Interoperability across the Value Chain In the cyber world of changing definitions and paradigms, borderless nature, and shifting technologies, building trust outside of networks is essential to maximizing capabilities, minimizing costs, and maintaining relevance through security. |
| 11:15 a.m. | Closing Discussion
|
| 12:00 p.m. | 2010 A&D Cybersecurity Forum Concludes |
