Continuous System Improvement

Although process improvement starts one project at a time, a systems approach needs to be adopted as an important basis for future success. A conceptual framework of continuous system improvement will provide the basic model for an integrated logical approach to better understand what functions, issues, and analytical techniques are involved, where they belong and how they should be applied in a practical situation.

9:45 am Throughput Accounting: Logical Alignment of Financials and Operations

Using throughput accounting, they discovered the necessary tool to understand their business and focus on global improvements rather than just pursuing local improvements to significantly improve their bottom line.

11:00 am LSS Training and Employee Involvement on the Shop Floor

11:45 am Cashing the Check on the Results of Continuous Improvement
Upper management support, resources, training, effective facilitation, and employee involvement are all necessary for a successful LSS initiative. But at the end of the day all these enablers are wasted if the results of CI events and projects are not implemented and sustained. Hear how AA M&E is creating a culture of execution at the front line level to "cash the check" on CI.
