Despite the negative publicity, the value and necessity of utilizing or owning aircraft for business remains as strong as ever. Ed Bolen will highlight steps that the industry is taking to counter the current media blitz on operators. He will also share strategies that the NBAA is deploying to dispel inaccuracies and misperception in an effort to restore faith to business aviation operators of all sizes throughout the United States.

| 10:00 a.m. | Show Them the Money, Show Them Productivity: Demonstrating and Quantifying the Economic Value of Business Aviation and Corporate Flight Departments During this in-depth and educationally focused session, you will learn how to effectively quantify the economic value of your organization’s flight department and aircraft. Multiple metrics and value assessment methodologies will be presented and discussed in detail. Measurement analysis includes identifying specific company needs, assessing the company’s unique environment and evaluating the flight department’s structure and purpose. This is followed by a review of the company’s on-demand air transportation activity during the prior year including the definition of aircraft uses, measurement of benefits and value contributions, the creation of effective messaging for specific audiences, and identification of communication tool sets and channels to meet company needs. | 11:30 a.m. | Gaining Executive Support: Making the Business Case and Promoting the Value of Business Aviation to Your Chief Executives and Board of Directors All too often, decisions are made regarding an organization’s flight operations with little to no input from the flight department. During this engaging discussion we will highlight strategies that flight departments have undertaken to gain the support of their organization’s highest level decision makers and ensure that decisions made regarding the flight department are not made in a vacuum.

| 12:15 p.m. | What You Don't Hear in the Press: How Business Aviation Gives Back Corporate Angel Network is the only charitable organization in the USA whose sole mission is to ease the emotional stress, physical discomfort and financial burden of travel for cancer patients by arranging free flights to treatment centers, using the empty seats on corporate aircraft flying on routine business. The current backlash against corporate and business aviation, however, threatens to hinder or potentially ground the organization’s charitable objectives.

| 1:30 p.m. | Industry Leaders’ Round Table Industry Leaders Jack Pelton, Ed Bolen, Pete Bunce and Andrew Cebula; representing Cessna, NBAA, GAMA and AOPA respectively will discuss and share their candid thoughts and perspective on the crisis at hand. Each will additionally share the multi-faceted approaches that their respective organizations have adopted to tackle this crisis and support the business aviation community.

| 2:30 p.m. | When To Fly, When Not To Fly: Evaluating the Ethics and Responsibilities of Corporate Aviation Make no mistake, it’s not a sin by any measure for an executive to use a corporate aircraft to get from point A to point B for business purposes. However, in light of the current climate, and with the intention of improving the perception of corporate aviation in the eyes of the general public; new questions must be asked and answered as to how and when use of corporate aircraft is appropriate and warranted.

| 3:15 p.m. | Improving Financial and Operational-Efficiency within Business Aviation In order for flight department managers to more effectively quantify the value of their operations, the most stringent financial and flight operation management procedures must be in place. During this session we will present viable cost-savings initiatives that have been successfully deployed and leveraged within flight departments to optimize efficiency and prevent unnecessary expenditures.

| 3:45 p.m. | Countering The Media Onslaught: Developing an Effective Campaign to Reverse the Negative Perception of Business Aviation on All Fronts During this engaging session, we will collectively tackle the paramount challenges posed by the harsh attacks and criticisms that have been levied against corporate and business aviation. All participants will be assigned to small groups and presented with a specific challenge. At the conclusion of the session, each small group will then present their findings to the larger group as a whole to develop an action plan that can be leveraged at local, state and Federal levels to reverse the negative perception of business aviation.
