CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT

In addition to managing what part is where, configuration management data also plays a key part in obtaining the necessary data to recognize aircraft reliability and operational problems, along with the elements to quickly identify root cause. The basic configuration management data provides the means for a bottom-up approach to problem resolution that is more efficient and pragmatic than the traditional top-down methodology. This session will highlight the shortcomings of traditional analysis processes, and will outline the basic steps for utilizing configuration management data for streamlined root cause determination and resolution for aircraft system and component performance issues.
