ADAT Joins Airbus MRO Network

Oct 13, 2009

LONDON--Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT), a Mubadala Development Co. (Mubadala) affiliate, has become the latest MRO provider to join Airbus' MRO Network.

Launched by Mubadala in November 2007 through the transformation of the former Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Co. (GAMCO), ADAT, is an independent technical services provider for civil and military aircraft.

Criteria for membership of the MRO Network have been extended recently, requiring new members to be capable of offering maintenance services for the newest Airbus types including the A380 and later, the A350 XWB.

Bruce Jones, senior VP, Airbus Services and Customer Support, said, "The Middle East is an important region for Airbus, and ADAT has a broad range of Airbus maintenance capabilities. It is also equipped with a state-of-the-art A380 hangar. Their entry to the MRO Network will enhance the customers' choice of maintenance services in the region."
