A Jet Fit for a Queen

Oct 7, 2008

Four bizjet makers are said to be in competition for a small but prestigious order from one of the world's true VVIPs: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the U.K. The Royal household spent around GBP$5.5 million ($9.75 million) on official travel in 2007, much of it on chartered aircraft. Although the Royal Air Force's executive transport unit is named No. 32 (The Royal) Squadron, senior government ministers and military top brass have priority use of the BAe 125 CC.3 and the RAF's BAe 146 CC.2s.
