Jetstar Pacific Maintenance Probe
Thanhnien News reported today that "the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam has started an inspection of Jetstar Pacific Airlines' aircraft maintenance procedures following allegations of several failings."

It's important to note that the article says the investigation is underway and that the engineer who reported the maintenance problems was "sacked due to shortcomings in his efficiency."

There are always two sides to a story. We'll see what the Vietnamese inspectors find.

Jetstar's fleet includes A320-200, A321 and A330-200 aircraft. The low-fare airline expected to fly its 2.5 millionth customers by mid-November.
