Lessons Learned

There were some fascinating presentations and intriguing comments made here in Fort Lauderdale on the first day of MRO, MRO Military and Aviation Week's Interiors.

One particularly good point was made near the beginning of the MRO Military conference when a panelist made the distinction between lessons learned and lessons taught. In effect, he said 'A lot of people learn things, but the important part really is teaching those things to others.' In other words, maybe we should talk less about lessons learned and more about lessons taught, or how to capture those learned lessons and pass them on to others.

Later, in the commercial MRO forecast and trends session, Kevin Michaels suggested that by 2018 there will be two large North American MRO integrators. Kevin did not, however, take a stab at naming those two. If you have any ideas, we'd like to hear them. Or, if you happen to see Kevin, ask him and then let us know.

More later.
