US Airways To Test IFE System Upgrade

It's a classic case of keeping up with the Joneses.

US Airways is looking to upgrade its inflight entertainment systems with a fiber optic, touch screen version, to "give it an edge over its competitors in the race for passenger loyalty, while also boosting revenue," reported The Arizona Republic. While focusing on US Airways' planned improvements, reporter Dawn Gilbertson provides a good run-down of IFE systems onboard several commercial airlines. It's an article that's well worth reading.

US Airways plans to begin three months of testing its system on an A320 beginning in late spring or early summer 2008, the story added.
