AgustaWestland has released pictures and video of the Nov. 13 maiden flight of the first prototype AW149 medium tactical helicopter at its Vergiate, Italy plant. The first prototype has a representative airframe and avionics. A second prototype, to fly in 2010, will have the uprated 2,000shp-class CT7-2E1 engines. The AW149, a derivative of the commercial AW139, is scheduled to enter service in 2014.
