Above the USS Kitty Hawk arrives in Pearl Harbor with the Arizona memorial and Ford Island in the background.  The port call preceded the start of exercise Rim of the Pacific 2008, the world's largest multinational exercise held every two years. The USS Kitty Hawk receives fuel from the USNS Guadalupe while sailing in the central Pacific during the  The 'Rim of the Pacific' exercise in July, 2008.   This is the Kitty Hawk's last exercise before decommissioning in 2009. She will be replaced by USS George Washington this summer as the only forward-deployed carrier operating from Japan.
