New Pics: Boeing Lifts the Veil on SDB II Design
Boeing/Lockheed Martin and Raytheon submitted their bids for the USAF SDB II moving target killer program Nov. 5.

A downselect for the winner of a fixed-price development contract is expected in May.

The Boeing team has been quiet about its proposal to date, but here's a sneak peek at their design.

Below are pics of a form factored vehicle. It lacks a warhead, which is replaced with telemetry equipment for the purposes of a flight test. Note the difference of the blunt nose accommodating the tri-mode seeker. SDB I has a pointy tip to accommodate the penetrating warhead.

Nope; SDB II is to become an all-weather, moving target version of the quad-carried SDB. Think Hellfire with wings.
