In this week's episode, Defense Technology International's Senior Editor for North America, Paul McLeary joins Graham Warwick, Aviation Week's Senior Technology Editor and myself, Amy Butler, Senior Pentagon Editor.
We break from our traditional format of discussing three topics to allow more time for news from the front. Paul recounts his three weeks on the ground in Khost Province, Afghanistan, learning about everything from ISAF efforts to train local soldiers to the Afghan military's love of ice cream. Paul also got a peek at the first Warrior UAV ops for the U.S. Army there.
We also chat about satellite fleet management in the U.S. (or maybe Gen. Chilton's concerns highlight that there is a lack of management on that front).
Finally, we wrap up with our Missed Approaches.
As always, thanks for listening to Check 6.
