Iron Cross EuroHawk
The first EuroHawk rolled out to the backdrop of the Stars and Stripes and the German flag last week in Palmdale, California, carries iron crosses which have been the insignia of the Luftwaffe since the Second World War and were used by German aircraft in World War I.

This is not the only World War I reference of the Luftwaffe's first unmanned aerial system. Starting next year, German EuroHawks will be part of Aufklärungsgeschwader (Reconnaissance Wing) 51, which bears the name of Immelman, the World War I German ace who the dogfight maneuver is named after.

But this is where the World War I references end, although it would be pretty cool to see a EuroHawk painted in red.
