Still no mention of the F136's recent 'dings & nicks' test event (http://www.dodbuzz.com/2009/10/07/dings-and-nicks-shut-f136-down), or the bearing issue from August (http://www.dodbuzz.com/2009/09/01/ge-takes-f-136-test-engine-offline). Seems rather one-sided given the two pages of coverage paid to the F135's LP fan tip issue. For the record I'm a supporter of the sole-source approach, and don't believe that any of these three issues are show-stoppers (that's why maturity testing is undertaken), but where's the fair & balanced coverage?
