The December 2007 issue of Travel + Leisure magazine has come out with its list of the best and worst airports in the United States.  Among the top 3 best:
  • Portland International Airport- the magazine lauded it for having only 16% of its flights delayed in 2007.  PDX also reached the top in 2007 after not even being in the top 10 in 2006; and
  • Salt Lake City International and and San Diego International airports- both had only 17% of their flights delayed.   SLC drops one position after being tops in 2006, while SAN rose 2 spots.

Rounding out the rest of the list were Los Angeles International; Tampa International; Oakland International; Houston Intercontinental; Minneapolis-St. Paul; Orlando; and St. Louis.

  • Newark International- at 35% of flights delayed, it just squeaked under O'Hare and JFK.
  • Philadelphia International - at 34% flight delays, the airline remained number4 year over year despite dropping 7 percentage points.

The rest of the pack includes: Charlotte-Douglas International; Dallas/Fort Worth International; Hartsfield-Jackson International; LaGuardia; Chicago Midway; and Miami International.
