Air France A380: Paris-New York Ops Start

After much ceremony in recent weeks over the handover of the first A380 to Air France, and this past weekend’s first arrival in New York, the airline, starting today, will begin its routine service between CDG and JFK using the new aircraft.

Air France Flight 006 leaves Paris at 1:30 p.m. (CET) and gets into New York at 3:45 p.m. (EST), with the return flight (AF 007) leaving at 7:15 (EST) and landing at 8:35 (CET).

Air France says flight to Johannesburg will be next (Dubai was also in the mix and is expected to come next) with operations to commence on February 3 after the airline receives its second A380.
