Sen. John Kerry and (D-Mass.) and 34 Senate cosigners sent a letter late last week to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), urging passage of full FAA reauthorization by the end of this year, reports the Aviation Week Intelligence Network (subscribers only).

Cessna CEO Jack Pelton said that the freefall of business aviation is behind us in remarks at last week's AOPA Aviation Summit, reports General Aviation News.  And Brian Delauter, the Transportation Security Admininstration's general manager of general aviation, spoke about how AOPA members and others in the industry got TSA's attention during the Large Aircraft Security Program process.

The two-year-old Reel Stuff Film Festival of Aviation is in danger of being cancelled due to a cash crunch at  the National Aviation Hall of Fame that has already caused the organization to lay off  half of its professional staff, reports the Dayton Daily News.
