Outstanding Achievement Awards
Overhaul & Maintenance (O&M) and AVIATION WEEK will present the O&M Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul during the MRO Conference and Exhibition each April. The O&M Awards honor managers or executives who have improved the efficiency, profitability, reliability and/or safety of their company's MRO operations, or of aviation MRO generally.

Aviation Week & Space Technology's annual rankings issue of Top-Performing Companies honors and recognizes the top companies demonstrating exceptional strategic and operational excellence in their respective peer group.
These highly-anticipated rankings are based on a proprietary methodology, using four key performance measures developed by AVIATION WEEK in collaboration with partners in the aerospace/defense industry. The rankings and detailed analysis examine, in the context of broad industry trends, companies¹ performance within their peer groups.
The four peer-groups are defined by total revenue; >$5B, $1-$5B, $250M-$1B, $250M. The total score in each peer group will rank the Top-Performing Companies. The score is compiled from four performance categories including:

The L. Welch Pogue Award for Lifetime Achievement in Aviation
The L. Welch Pogue Award, first presented in 1994, was awarded to L. Welch Pogue, a former Chairman of the Civil Aviation Board and a US Delegate at the Chicago Convention, which created the legal blueprint for post-WWII expansion of commercial aviation. The Chicago Convention remains the legal and regulatory basis for the conduct of international aviation. In a tribute to the achievements of Pogue and his colleagues, AVIATION WEEK presents the L. Welch Pogue award to an individual considered a visionary and a preeminent leader of contemporary aviation.
