The results are in from Aviation Week & Space Technology’s 10th Annual Top-Performing Companies study. The series of articles and tables reveal how publicly traded aerospace/defense companies and airlines compare with their peers worldwide when it comes to operational performance.

Results include a one-year snapshot and an assessment of which companies have improved the most over the past five years. Additional data on the top three companies in several categories are provided exclusively on AviationNow.com. This year’s revamped methodology was backed by the largest database ever used in the study.

Data include the 10-year scoring history and employee productivity for the top three companies in each category. In addition, a measure of each company's independent research and development is available for aerospace concerns, and metrics for operational performance are available for featured airlines. The data are presented graphically on the Web site, while Aviation Week & Space Technology subscribers can download the Excel spreadsheets used to tabulate the metrics.
