FedEx purchased two MD-11Fs from ILFC in October, both of which recently came off lease from World Airways. Both aircraft have been owned by ILFC and operated by World Airways since delivery in 1994 (N274WA) and 1995 (N276WA). FedEx last purchased MD-11Fs in early 2011 when it purchased four from Malaysian cargo carrier Transmile. FedEx now has a fleet of 66 MD-11Fs.
