Flying The Gulfstream G650
According to Aviation Week Intelligence Network's Fleet database, Airbus did not deliver any A380s in January. If confirmed, this would be the first time no A380 deliveries took place in a single month since March 2012. While 2012 saw a record 30 A380s delivered to customers, wing redesign issues are putting a damper on 2013 deliveries as only 25 are expected to be delivered. Airbus had originally hoped to produce four A380s per month as deliveries were getting underway in early 2008, but continued soft demand for the type is making that output unlikely, even in the long term. After gathering a net total of 75 A380 orders in 2001, Airbus has averaged only 17 orders per year since 2002 (including cancellations).
