Lion Air of Indonesia today ordered 234 Airbuses in a deal worth a reported $24 billion. Lion Air are currently taking delivery of rival Boeing 737-800s and -900s, having over 80 in service already and a further 325 on order. Being such a big Boeing customer, Airbus were clearly overjoyed to seal this huge deal today in Paris. Later on in Toulouse at the Airbus delivery centre, a specially painted A321 (the 'sharklet' prototype) was on display for the afternoon.
