Next Monday's edition of Aviation Week & Space Technology includes several interesting commercial aviation stories.

The magazine's cover story by Guy Norris and Mike Mecham highlights how Boeing engineers are keeping a tight rein on the biggest technology upgrades to the 737 jet in nearly 20 years.  Their story, which can be read here provides a detailed look inside Boeing's 737 MAX effort, which was launched last summer to counter Airbus's A320NEO.

Also in the June 18 magazine is an article by Graham Warwick that looks at the resurrection of the Eclipse very-light jet.

And in the airline industry, Jens Flottau writes about how more power in the airline industry is shifting toward carriers in the Middle East.
