Flying The Gulfstream G650
British Airways just announced that Andy Kerswill is the new director of engineering following Garry Copeland's promotion to managing director of operations. (Congratulations Garry!) I met Andy a couple of years ago when he was general manager at BA Engineering, but recently he's been managing director at BA CityFlyer. (BA Engineering has a strong engineering apprenticeship program and Andy is a product of that, so he has worked his way up the whole ladder.) It's going to be a big year for BA: it is scheduled to get its first Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787.
