International Aero Engines plans to launch production this summer of its V2500-A5 replacement: SelectOne, which is designed to stay on-wing 20% longer, provide 12 degrees C additional EGT margin, have 40% fewer "miscellaneous shop visits," and reduce fuel consumption by 1% (with corresponding emissions, too.)
MTU Aero Engines' latest Report magazine contains an informative article on the engine that says IndiGo Airlines will be the launch customer, equipping the its new Airbus A320s.
