The governor of New York gave a Twitter shout-out to the Air Force for help moving power equipment from coast to coast to help with Hurricane relief.

The Air Force is sending 15 cargo aircraft – C-5s and C-17s that are helping bring power back to the hard-hit region via the New York Air Guard’s 105th Airlift Wing.

Army National Guard units from North Carolina, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Georgia are sending in 6 UH-60 Blackhawks and two CH-47 Chinooks for New Jersey search and rescue efforts.

Ships anchored off the coast of Brooklyn are housing three MH53E Pave Low helicopters and six MH-60S Seahawks, six CH-53E Super Stallions and six UH-1 Hueys.
