Flying The Gulfstream G650
I was hoping to see Eurocopter's cool X3 high-speed compound helicopter in a Bond movie one day, but it seems that AgustaWestland has ousted its European rival as the supplier of rotary-wing kit to the movie franchise licensed to thrill. AgustaWestland's UK-built AW101 and AW159* Lynx Wildcat star in 007's cinematic outing, Skyfall. Previous Bond movies have featured Eurocopter products, like the Tiger attack helicopter that played a prominent role in GoldenEye. AgustaWestland says it is "exploring opportunities" for its products to feature in the next, and 24th, Bond movie, now in production. If we can't have the X3, then for those of us who look past the Bond girls to see the aircraft, can we please have the AW609 tiltrotor? *Note: Wildcat designation corrected, as per comment
