From Ben: A Delta IV-Heavy rocket lifts off from Cape Canaveral June 29 at 9:15am EDT with NROL-15 for the National Reconnaissance Office. The world's largest rocket launched for the sixth time in eight years, and fifth from the Cape, and delivered a mammoth satellite that has been years in the waiting. The launch marked the debut of the RS-68A engines, which were developed especially for this launch's secret payload, which had been on the manifest for a very, very long time. The engines extend to 702,000 lbs of thrust the capability of the most powerful hydrogen engines ever made.
