     In Afghanistan, the U.S. Air Force benefitted from the Project Liberty, a MC-12W, a Beechcraft King Air 350 with the ability to gather intelligence. Increasingly, the pairing of high-tech sensors with lower-cost light-utility aircraft is enabling military, paramilitary and smaller governments to take on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Aviation Week’s March 17 issue will take a look at some of the up and coming modifications, including how Field Aviation is developing the Challenger 604 Maritime Patrol Aircraft with Boeing and Bombardier, and other efforts around the world.
