A special report in the Dec. 3 issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology will focus on the latest in aircraft simulator technologies. The multi-story package will focus on topics such as:
*International efforts to boost simulator fidelity in order to realistically emulate "outside of the envelope" flight handling and performance characteristics for pilot training.
*An update on a project to deliver "live virtual constructive" training capability -- a combination of simulated and live flight activity in a common virtual training environment.
*New developments in the low-cost simulator market.
The report will be led by senior avionics and safety editor John Croft.
