As defense spending draws down in the U.S. and western Europe, aerospace and defense companies are hoping for expansion in non-traditional markets. On the commercial side, the Asia-Pacific region has featured the strongest growth in recent years and is showing promise for the future.
At the air show in Singapore, both those trends came together as eyes turned to the world's fourth most populous nation. The growth potential in Indonesia or both commercial and military aircraft and systems providers made headlines.
