Virgin Atlantic takes inflight entertainment offerings very seriously and is getting good feedback on its Panasonic IFE offering in the new Airbus A330s, says Chris Rossi, senior VP North America.

He says Virgin Atlantic works very hard to innovate and believes “people tend to fly us because of the overall experience” that Virgin provides—whether in coach or business class.

Of course, the hardware is important, but what movies and entertainment a carrier provides is really what counts (as long as it all works, of course).

Simon Bradley, VP marketing North America for Virgin, emphasizes that the carrier “curates content,” from blockbuster movies to more obscure Danish movies with subtitles—along with a variety of music, etc. He says passengers appreciate finding unexpected choices for their viewing pleasure while onboard.

Can passengers stream the content on their own tablets and devices? Not yet, but I wouldn’t rule out that option for Virgin.
