Soon to head for warmer, sunnier climes, Saudi Arabian Airlines’ first Boeing 777-300ER readies for take-off from a cold, damp Paine Field, Everett on a pre-delivery test flight on Jan 7. Saudi plans to operate the 777-300ERs in a relatively high-density (413-seat) configuration initially on routes to Asia and North Africa. The first of 10 aircraft on order is scheduled to begin services on the Jeddah – Kuala Lumpur route at the end of February. In March, the airline is expected to expand services with the world's largest twin to the Riyadh - Cairo and Jeddah – Casablanca routes.photo by Joe Walker
