    The Alitalia saga continues. Italian government representatives met three times Tuesday and Wednesday with executives of an Italian investor group just to try to get it back to the negotiating table. Read the details in the Aviation Daily story here.

    Fuel prices are still high in historical terms, but could their recent drop make some routes viable again? Allegiant said yesterday it has reversed an earlier decision to end service to Fort Lauderdale from several small cities, and cited the drop in fuel costs as one of the reasons for its change of heart.
