Flying Boeing 787
Qatar Airways 787
The Austrian air force conducted a simulated air-intercept of an Austrian Airlines flight, providing this wonderful picture of the carrier’s new winglet-equipped Boeing 767 alongside the military’s Eurofighter Typhoon. The “intercept” occurred on March 27 around 11 a.m. The two sides simulated a forced landing, with the 767 touching down around 11:45 a.m. The Austrian air force says it conducted 73 intercepts last year. The country’s air force and flag carrier have been working together for some time.[Photo: Austrian defense ministry]
