Here’s some images from today’s rather damp Boeing 787 ANA delivery ceremony to ‘wet’ (rather than whet) the appetite. The first ANA aircraft, line number eight, is due to depart around dawn tomorrow. Nobody seems quite sure if there will be enough light to photograph its take-off, but chances are it will be before sunrise.
Interestingly, the rumor floating around Everett here today is that the delayed Cargolux 747-8F handover may also quietly take place tomorrow. I’m taking it with a pinch of salt at this stage, but if that is true then the race to see which will be delivered first may not yet be over!

Nobody is going to let the rain dampen the spirits at this parade.
Signing in the rain...ANA and Boeing Commercial presidents sign on the dotted line.
Meanwhile, 747-8s line up for delivery. Will Cargolux's first 747-8F quietly leave Everett tomorrow?
