The FAA has launched a really neat interactive map that allows us to see exactly what NextGen projects have been rolled out. It’s quite a bit of fun to play around with it, and its actually quite interesting to see how much technology has been installed across the country. The people who should see this are those who are always complaining that NextGen will never happen, or that the funding doesn’t exist. Well, guess what, it’s happening under your noses.
Anyway, here is the link to the interactive map. You can make it show ADS-B coverage, satellite navigation high-altitude routes, satellite-based landing systems, NextGen key sites, and more.
