  • Longer and Wider?

Size matters. The Cessna Longitude, originally expected to be a stretch of the Latitude now under development, could be getting a fuselage that's both longer and larger.

According to one company executive, the design of the 4,000 nm, $26 million twin is still in flux and being adjusted to accommodate potential customer preferences. Well, it seems the latter group wants more girth and the Wichita planemaker is listening carefully, taking notes and letting out the measuring tape.

Longitude is expected to fly in 2016 with deliveries beginning a year or so later.
