Qatar Airways today showed off the new business class seat that will be offered on board its Boeing 787s. The product was officially unveilved at ITB in Berlin.
The 1-2-1 configuration in business class will have 22 seats, produced by B/E Aerospace, each 22-inch wide, converting to a 30-inch wide, 80-inch long flat bed.
Economy class will have 232 Recaro seats with a 32-inch pitch and 7-inch recline in a 3-3-3 configuration.
WiFi and GSM telephony will be available, but voice calls will be disabled "to minimize passenger disruption".
The airline also announced it will commence its first 787 long haul route between Doha and London Heathrow just after the Farnborough Air Show, where it will display one of its 787s (see here for more on that).
Qatar is promoting its new 787s via the social networks, using the Twitter hashtag #Qatar787.
