Flying Boeing 787
Qatar Airways 787
The Wall Street Journal reported this morning that it has confirmed that Air France-KLM, Alitalia and Delta are in talks with Jet Airways over allowing the Indian airlines to join their joint venture for transatlantic services. The Journal's story followed the original report in France in La Tribune (you'll need to be able to comprehend French, of course).Airlines in the metal-neutral joint venture share revenue, no matter who is operating the flight. There has been talk of Jet Airways joining SkyTeam, which includes all of the joint venture airlines, but this is the first I've heard of it possibly joining the joint venture. Jet Airways operates between Mumbai and Newark and between Chennai and New York Kennedy, both routes via Brussels. But the Journal report cites its source as saying that Air France-KLM is negotiating for Jet Airways to transfer its European hub to Amsterdam from Brussels.
