  • AA/BA ruling expected today (Updated)
Posted by Adrian Schofield 5:06 PM on Feb 12, 2010

The drums are beating loudly that the U.S. Transportation Dept. intends to issue its initial decision today on the Oneworld antitrust immunity application.

Industry sources say DOT has completed work on its “show cause” order, and it is being reviewed. The White House is likely involved in this review, because of the disagreement between the DOT and Justice Dept. positions on the Oneworld application.

DOT wants to have the initial order revealed before the next round of U.S.-EU open skies negotiations begin next week in Madrid.

UPDATE -- Well, the watch continues... while widely expected Friday, the show cause order was not released. No word yet on what happened.
