  • 787 impresses at Oshkosh

Just over a year after making its international debut at the 2010 Farnborough air show in the UK, and several weeks after a swing through public air shows at Paris and in Germany, the 787 has finally made its first appearance at a major U.S. air show. Earlier today ZA001 wowed the crowds at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where, for the first time, it was open to the general public. The moment did not disappoint – apart from those at the back of the line which, according to Paul Barnes who sent me this image, seemed to be “a mile long.”

Check out this video of ZA001 arriving at the show and see if you can spot the glint of sunlight off the cable from the fin to the trailing air data cone.
