After a prolonged dry spell, Bombardier has secured a new order for its CSeries. Braathens Aviation's leasing arm plans to buy 10 of the aircraft, with options for ten more.(Credit: Bombardier)It is the first CSeries order since Airbus launched the A320 New Engine Option and comes after the absence of orders at last year's Farnborough air show had industry observers wondering whether Bombardier's sales push for its narrowbody had stalled.Braathens will take five CS100s and five CS300s, to be operated by its subsidiary Malmo Aviation starting in 2014.The firm order element of the deal is $665 million (with options, it would rise to $1.37 billion).Industry officials indicate Bombardier has more deals in work, with plans to potentially announce them at the Paris air show this month.
