Flying Boeing 787
Qatar Airways 787
China Southern Airlines has disclosed that it plans to operate a daily Airbus A380 service on the Guangzhou-Beijing and Guangzhou-Shanghai Hongqiao route starting Oct. 18 and Oct. 27 respectively.Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is smaller and closer to the city centre than Shanghai Pudong International Airport. As a consequence, it may have some slot constraints at peak times. But even so, operating A380s on domestic seems like sheer madness to me. China's a big market, but not that big.It reminds me of the time when Orient Thai Airlines started operating Boeing 747-200s domestically in Thailand. That didn't last long.
