    American troops stationed in Europe and Southwest Asia will receive a visit next month by legends in aerospace, sponsored by Armed Forces Entertainment.

    American Airlines is one of the sponsors that will host Astronaut Neil Armstrong; Apollo 13 Commander Jim Lovell; test pilot Bob Gilliland, who also was the first man to fly the SR-71 Blackbird; Astronaut Gene Cernan and General Steve Ritchie (Ret.), the last Air Force Pilot Ace.

    The "Legends of Aerospace" Tour will offer 30-40-minute panel discussions on military and bases and naval vessels, and will be hosted by David Hartman, the first host of Good Morning America.

    Captain Jim Lovell of Apollo 13 fame, said, "I have been waiting my whole life for this opportunity to meet with our service men and women on the front lines. They are the real heroes."

    The tour will log more than 15,000 flight miles, and American Airlines is providing all of the roundtrip trans-Atlantic transportation.

    For the 20-somethings who may be wondering who the old guys are, Lovell was played by Tom Hanks in the movie Apollo 13, remember? Ahh, yes, that guy.
