  • What I'd Be Looking At In The Skies Of Paris
Posted by Benet Wilson 3:57 PM on Jun 15, 2011

Although Aviation Week pays me to write about this industry, in my heart of hearts, I'm also an aviation geek.  I worry greatly that my bosses will find out they're actually paying me for my hobby.

I attended my first Paris Air Show in 1995, and when I wasn't writing, I was watching the skies for the flying displays.  That particular year, the Boeing 777 and the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor made their debuts at that show, and what a thrill it was.  I also got to see an Ilyushin Il-96 with Pratt & Whitney engine.  But I digress.

I won't be attending this year's show, but I'll be following it closely.  Below are the planes I would have been delighted to see if I was there.  Enjoy!!
