  • A Nuance to AAR's Expansion #AvMRO
Posted by Lee Ann Tegtmeier 10:01 PM on Aug 13, 2013

Both people from AAR whom I spoke with yesterday in researching this article about the MRO leasing the space formerly occupied by Aeroframe emphasized the opportunity to expand the company’s widebody aircraft maintenance and engineering--as well as the talented pool of people in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area.

One thing that I didn’t include: While AAR is concentrating on commercial aviation MRO for that facility at Chennault International Airport (its sixth), AAR will leverage the whole AAR portfolio so military customers could benefit from this expansion, as well.

AAR already had a parts logistics center for KC-10s there as part of the Northrop Grumman-led team that supports the U.S. Air Force’s fleet.
