LOT Polish Airlines is scheduled to deploy its first Boeing 787 in January, and as part of its entry-into-service preparations, it signed a component support agreement with AFI KLM E&M (the Air France/KLM maintenance and engineering organization). More than 600 components will be covered under the deal, the value of which neither company disclosed. LOT is supposed to get its first Dreamliner sometime this year. Besides Boeing and its component suppliers (the biggest of which is Hamilton Sundstrand), Lufthansa Technik and Mubadala Aerospace are offering 787 component support.
