The outcry over several days of snow disruptions at London's Heathrow airport during the winter forced BAA to launch some serious after-action efforts. The outside report on what transpired is now out and can be read here.In parallel with releasing the report, the airport authority also says it will spend ₤50 million to address "all the recommendations" in the report. That includes providing passenger care facilities it says go beyond legal requirements, as well as laying on additional equipment and better training. The additional spending is not assured. The outlay is merely being proposed at this point, and will be put to airlines and the CAA next month.
